I was positively amazed when I took these chess pieces out of the box. They are far heavier than I anticipated and wonderfully crafted. The quality of these pieces is much more than I expected for the price.

This set is made up of 2.25 inch Pawns, 2.75 inch beautifully detailed Knights, 3 inch Bishops, 2 6/16 inch Rooks, 3.25 inch Queens, and 4 1/8 inch Kings. Awesome game
My wife wouldn't stop making me play this for weeks. It takes about an hour to play, and works better with 3 or more, although 2 can play. Every game is different, with a treasure hidden in a different place and hurricanes, wars, and icebergs popping up when you least expect them. This game has the potential to be a bestseller like Settlers of Katan or Ticket to Ride. Well worth the money.

This gift was purchased for a 3 yo's birthday. He is particularly obsessed with "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and sings it ALL day (literally!) thus my search for spider-related gifts. The report from Mom is that he loooooves this game. Although they have not officially played it, he spends quite a bit of time positioning spiders and "washing the spiders out" by sending the marbles down the spout. Mom is looking forward to the counting that can be done with the game as he is entering preschool this year and just learning numbers and counting.

2. Fun idea for a game but very cheaply made
We bought this game for our preschooler for Christmas. It is VERY small. Although our kids were so excited to move spiders up the water spout and have lots of fun playing, it is very cheaply made. I'm afraid to let our preschooler play it alone for fear she will break it. Also the game takes forever. When the water drops fall down they knock your spider off and you have to start all over. You are moving several spiders up to win. When I play I often "cheat" to help the game progess a little quicker. Our older kids can sit long enough to play.

Good game for the money
I bought this to have when my 2 year old grand daughter came to visit. It has enough action to keep her entertained, and the parts are not at all fragile. When she starts to get bored, she will 'freestyle" and just run the marbles through the "spout" and watch the spiders fall down. She also likes to count off the spaces after she spins the dial. Her older sister (5yrs) can play along but is too sophisticated for this game and gets bored right away. This was money well spent.

2. Good, not great.
I realize that this is an accessory set for kids, but the quality could have been much better for the price. The belt itself is not of great quality. It wore down to a point where it would no longer stay tight, and would loosen every thirty seconds. The buckle seems less than solid, but will probably work well on another belt. The patch is a descent part of the bundle, simply because it's hard to screw up a patch. The keychain is exactly what you would expect. As far as keychains go, it's not the best, but not the worst. Lastly, the kit came with a Noble Team pin. This pin was the best thing in the package, and is worth the cost. I would pay the same amount as the kit just for the pin. It's built well, doesn't seem like it will break, and looks really cool.

I would recommend this as novelty, or to someone who wanted a Noble Team pin.

1. Great chess set for tournaments
The chess pieces are durable, triple weighted, and look just like USCF pieces in their design. The vinyl chessboard is lightweight, spill resistant, and can be rolled up into a tube when not in use. The bag is big enough for the chessboard to fit, but when I put the chess pieces in, it's a really tight fit. So I am probably going to get a different bag. One that has adequate space for the chessboard and the pieces.

2. Well priced performance
The extra queens are a welcome inclusion in this set. The construction is average. The quality is consistent with the price. Travel bag is adequate.

1. It's Good . . .A Bit Pricey
Basic construction kit for kids who like to build. Quality is average. Finished construction is flimsy but the upside to that is that it's easy to take apart and create something completely different. Overall, my son is pleased with this item. He wishes the kit came with more than 200 planks.

1. Extra cards and headbands
The extra cards and headbands make it an ideal game for even more kids to play together. My daughter played it at school during a special reward day and absolutely loved, so she asked for it for her birthday. I found this version on Amazon and ordered it right away - she was very happy to get it and she and her friends giggled the whole time they played.

2. Fun game - get this one since it has extra cards!
Our son wanted this for Christmas so badly - so we went ahead and got it. I'm glad that I checked around because I didn't realize that there was an edition with bonus cards in it. I'm glad we got this one. It has more cards and more headbands.

That said, we don't really play by the rules. We have fun just putting the cards in the headbands and asking questions until we figure out what we are. The questons and responses create a lot of laughter - and isn't that what family time is all about? It's a fun game for all ages. The great part is, is that even non-readers can play it and have fun with older kids or adults. (One way to get out of playing Candyland! Ugh!) I highly recommend this game - it will get lots of use!

Get 'em to play: they WILL love it
Even for the "I don't play games" person, once you wrangle them in, this becomes a fun, enjoyable and hysterical game. Invariably more than a few rounds of games are played.

Players strap on the dorky band (okay, it IS dorky)...just that alone can be reason to be silly, and then choose cards (unseen), slip them in their headband and try to identify under time restrictions and using only set statements---if your family's like ours, rules are slightly changed to help along players that are either very young, or not 'hip' to the word, or simply batting "0". We also let the group decide if the card a player is wearing is 'too hard' for them, or again, not likely known---keeps everyone in the game and simply put this is: Fun! Fun! Fun!
