This give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Design
I love the Pop-Up Pirate game!!! It's a great beginner game to teach turn taking skills. When I went on Amazon to order it they didnt have any. However, they did have the Pirates of the Caribbean version of the game. So I ordered that instead. I didnt pay close attention to what the Pirate looked like. Upon receiving it, I noticed that he is holding a gun in one hand and a knife/sword in the other. I work with kids that have behavioral problems. When I presented the game, the kids immediately pretended they were shooting guns. Overall the actual game is great. The pirate for this version is not age appropriate.
2. Fun to play
This game was fun for the children to play, but they got a little bored with it after about 10 minutes. The pirate popping up scared one of the children.

Does what u figure it should.
Sometimes all the swords slide in, and it still doesn't pop. But this fun too.
Toy is so light u have to brace/hold the back while you slide the swords all the way in.
Simple toy. Son loves it.
