1. Lovely Chess Set.
We got this chess set for our son's ninth birthday, and he loves it. It's easily carried from place to place and is of durable construction. The pieces are a bit on the small side, but that's understandable for a travel set. The pegs fit securely into their sockets for use in vehicles or on uneven surfaces. On top of it all, it's a very pretty little set, with its exotic veneers and inlays, perfect for the budding chess enthusiast of any age.

2. Chess set
I expect a travel chess set to retain the position of the pieces as I travel. This set does not. Other than that is a decent set to play a game.
Therefore I would not call it a travel set any more than any set set with a fold up board & bag to carry the men

Perfect execution!
I like to play chess on my phone and psp, but being old school i like to see the pieces in three dimensions and be able to see the board in all directions. This is a pefect way to do that as i can have a game going on myndevice, move the pieces on this board, and turn off the device and look at where i'm at in the game at my leisure. It's also nice at work if i'm playing a friend that doesnt work the same shift. Put it on the desk, make my move, close the lid, buddy comes in for his shift while eating kunch he makes his move and closes the lid. Just a bunch of different options. But the best part is the quality. Very good bang for the buck. Nice wood and just looks classy.
