I bought one for my daughter and one for her best friend that lives about 2 miles away. They are so cute texting each other! Am getting another bundle so that we can give to her other friends for their birthdays.... that way they have more friends online to talk too!
Very easy to set up and use. DEFINATELY recommend! We even traveled out of state and the girls texted too! Codes and access #s are provided on business card size paper so easy to keep in kids wallet or on cork board... don't know how you could loose it and the booklet also has a spot for the codes.

Santa brought this for my girls 6 and 8. They love texting each other. Reception works throughout the house.

I purchased two of these toys for my daughter and her best friend as Christmas gifts. They were both so very excited. We installed the software and set up her account but are not able to add friends. When we tried to add friends on her account we get a "server unavailable please try again later" message. After several days of the same message I gave up and called the 1800 number. The rep at Mattel I spoke with had never even heard of this toy. She went on to tell me that it was discontinued and they were no longer offering service for it. I explained that I had just purchased the toy and she was shocked to hear that they were still being offered for sale. Mattel is sending me a voucher for something else but the company rep I spoke to said the IM-ME toy is useless and I should just throw it away. What a waste. Please save your money and don't buy this toy.
