Cheapest Careers Board Game

This board game was invented in 1955 by James Cooke Brown. It was in continuous publication by Parker Brothers and other manufacturers until 2008, with different versions that represented the trends of each period. This Board Games give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Best game ever
I have great memories of playing this game with sibs and friends, poolside, way back in the mid-1960's! In and out of the pool, in and out of Careers games -- there was always somebody up for another game! Now I'm looking for a game to give a young relative, and I'm delighted to find that Careers is still available. Unlike Monopoly and take-offs, Careers doesn't take forever to complete a game (though you can, if you want, play a marathon game by setting the points required to win much higher than normal). There's plenty of competition, and occasional opportunities to make things difficult for another player -- but there's not the cut-throat capitalist competition of Monopoly, where you win only by walking all over other people and grabbing everything for yourself. In Careers, you set your own goals and work hard to achieve them, and until the very last move, you don't know who's ahead. The fact that each player's "success formula" is secret adds wonderful suspense to the game...

2. Best game ever made...
Friends and I played this hundreds of times back in the 70's. Not just another mindless game of chance, this game involved various strategies, and incorporated various gaming options that you could somewhat control using your Opportunity/Experience cards and the goals you set at the beginning of the game. A good game to teach your kids about life's employment options and the fame, happiness and money they offer. And, like life, sometimes your planned career path does not end up being your actual career path, depending on the roll of the dice...and is not necessarily a bad thing. Unlike most games where you all fight for the same thing (e.g. Monopoly) and/or all follow the same path every game (e.g. Life), where money is everything, and everyone has the same goal, Careers more realistically acknowledges the importance that Happiness and Fame and choice have in a successful life. The rules aren't all that difficult and the game is very straightforward...
